We have been learning all about snails for our science unit! We have been observing snails move, watching as they leave tracks of mucus. We also observed them crawl along glass so we could see the underside of them. Their foot is like a wave moving them and their shell along. (One of our snails escaped....and was eating our paper sign!!)
We have learnt how to use a digital mircoscope. We could examine the snails up close on our TV screen.
While we were observing our snails, we took notes on what we were seeing. Afterwards we were able to label the body parts of a snail and describe in detail what they look like, how they move and how they felt on our skin.
Wow! You have been learning so much about snails. I hope the paper eating snail didn't get indigestion! I love using the digital miscroscope because you see everything in so much detail.
